Berkeley Audio Designs Alpha DAC, WOW!

Bring us your lossy, your tinny, your impossibly horrible sounding MP3s, we'll show you what they could sound like. When we first heard about the Berkeley Audio Designs Alpha DAC, we were excited, however cautiously, that there might be a converter out in the world, somewhere, that might sound better for ALL music, not just our 400 gigahertz, 2048-bit recording of diana Krall live at who-cares-where.
It also sent chills of pure and unreasonable joy down our digitally-addled spinal columns when we realized they weren't just making this product somewhere in the world, they were making it right in our own backyard. Not literally, that would have been weird, we would have called the cops; which would have been awkward. Introducing, better late than later, the Berkeley Audio Designs Alpha DAC. For $5,000.00, we have yet to hear anything near its' performance level.
