If you haven't been by to see us recently, Music Lovers has lots of new gear to show you. Musical Fidelity's new M6 series has already made quite an impression on the staff, as well as, a number of customers who have had the opportunity to take them for a spin. We now have the awesome SQ-38u integrated tube amplifier and complementing D-38u vacuum tube CD player from Luxman. Both pieces are incredibly involving with superb detail and make for an enjoyable listening experience. We also have the Liuto from Sonus Faber, which has tremendous resolution and bass response; Clear Audio's Concept turntable, Paradigm's Monitor 9 floor-standing speaker, an earthshaking Paradigm Sub 15, Musical Fidelity V-DAC, Arcam irDock, a brand new Anthem D2V feeding a Sim2 C3X Lumis fitted with a jaw dropping anamorphic lens, an Anthem BLX 200 Blu-ray player and Peachtree Audio's full lineup of the Decco2, iDecco and Nova.
We're also just about ready to demonstrate the AIWX, the completely invisible in-wall speaker from Amina. Once installed, these speakers are completely invisible with no indication there are speakers in a wall. Not only are these speakers an Interior Decorator’s dream come true, they also sound fabulous.
Last but not least, Music Lovers has just gotten in the next level of audiophile-level floor-standing speakers from JBL, the K2 S9900. The K2 S9900 is the latest entry in JBL’s K2 series of freestanding full-range loudspeakers, and represents the ultimate in audiophile performance. Building upon the design and engineering brilliance of the successful JBL K2 9800, the new K2 S9900 expands its frequency response down to 33 Hz via a new low-frequency extender, giving it a total range of 33Hz to 50 kHz with 900 HZ and 15 kHz crossover points. The K2 S9900 is also 35 percent more powerful than its predecessor, with a power-handling rating of 500 Watts (RMS). And while the KS 9900 continues the K2 Series tradition of utilizing the proven 15-inch (380mm) diameter fiber-pulp cone low-frequency driver, the K2 S9900’s 4-inch (100mm) high-frequency compression driver is a third larger than that of the K2 S9800, and is topped with a 1-inch (25mm) ultrahigh-frequency driver. Overall, the K2 S9900 sets new levels of performance and style for the luxury home entertainment market.
