LD-2 line stage preamplifier

The LD-2 offers a considerable refinement of the circuit approach of the RLD-1, while retaining that unit’s features and facilities. The heart of the upgrade is the replacement of the Crystal Semiconductor volume control used in the RLD-1 with a new, high-performance volume control from Burr-Brown. Power supplies have been redesigned to accommodate the new volume control, and significantly upgraded in the process. Upgraded I/O connectors add the finishing touch to the improved LD-2. Listen for improved dimensionality and focus of images, increased discernment of subtle dynamic variations, and a more liquid, almost tube-like sound quality.
