The M3CD Compact Disc Player is the latest in Musical Fidelity’s long line of well-regarded, high-tech digital products. In 1987, Musical Fidelity was virtually the first company to make a DAC. Since then, they have been at the cutting edge of technology.

Because they believe that the first step to proper musicality is excellent technical performance,  the M3CD has been designed to have low distortion, virtually flat frequency response, low noise and low jitter. Once these were sorted out they went on to refine the subtle matters of engineering that give proper musicality. Among these is the unique high-tech digital-stream noise filter built into the M3CD. The M3CD also has a mains choke filter which filters out unwanted noise and allows the M3CD’s five independent power supply units to work properly, regardless of mains irregularities.

The sound quality of the M3i and M3CD is rather like the way they look. The quality is smooth, serene and structured. Their excellent dynamic range is coupled with outstanding load driving ability and stability margins. The sound is warm and inviting, but not coloured.

While their prices are relatively modest, the M3i and M3CD offer proper high end performance. They are a great starting or finishing point for your musical hi-fi journey.
