Eversolo AMP-F2 Class D Power Amplifier
The Eversolo AMP-F2 is a compact, high-performance stereo power amplifier designed around a high-efficiency Class D architecture. Developed in collaboration with Starke Sound, the AMP-F2 combines a true balanced circuit design, high-current output capability, low distortion, and a compact aluminum chassis.
The AMP-F2 delivers 145W RMS per channel into 8Ω and 250W RMS per channel into 4Ω. When configured in bridged mode, it can deliver 280W into 4Ω or 450W into 2Ω. With a maximum output current of 16.5A per channel, or 33A in bridged operation, the AMP-F2 is designed to provide strong control over a wide variety of loudspeaker loads.
High-Performance Class D Amplification
The AMP-F2 uses a Class D amplifier architecture designed for high efficiency, low heat generation, and substantial output capability. Its true balanced circuit helps reduce common-mode noise and interference while maintaining signal integrity throughout the amplification stage.
The amplifier has a gain of 21.5dB and an output impedance of just 0.136Ω across a bandwidth of 5Hz–100kHz. A minimum load impedance of 0.8Ω allows the AMP-F2 to accommodate demanding loudspeaker loads.
THD is specified at just 0.003% at 10W and 1kHz, while the signal-to-noise ratio exceeds 110dB.
High Current Output
The AMP-F2 produces 145W RMS per channel into 8Ω and 250W RMS per channel into 4Ω, both at 1% THD.
In bridged mode, output increases to 280W RMS into 4Ω and 450W RMS into 2Ω.
The amplifier can deliver up to 16.5A of output current per channel in stereo operation and up to 33A in bridged operation. This current capability allows the AMP-F2 to maintain control when driving speakers with difficult impedance characteristics.
True Balanced Circuit Design
The AMP-F2 incorporates a true balanced amplifier circuit. Balanced signal processing helps reject common-mode interference and minimizes the influence of external electrical noise.
The amplifier provides both XLR balanced and RCA single-ended inputs, allowing it to be used with fully balanced high-end systems as well as conventional RCA-based systems.
XLR input impedance is 22kΩ, while RCA input impedance is 11kΩ. Input sensitivity is 2.7V.
Starke Sound Binding Posts
The AMP-F2 is equipped with two pairs of custom-made beryllium copper speaker binding posts manufactured by Starke Sound.
The binding posts provide a secure connection for speaker cables while supporting the high current output capability of the amplifier.
Compact, Efficient Design
One of the AMP-F2's defining characteristics is its compact chassis. The Class D design generates significantly less heat than conventional linear amplifier architectures, allowing the amplifier to operate without a cooling fan.
Fanless operation eliminates mechanical fan noise and makes the AMP-F2 suitable for both dedicated two-channel systems and installations where quiet operation is important.
The amplifier's aluminum enclosure provides mechanical rigidity while helping protect the internal circuitry from electromagnetic interference.
12V Trigger Control
The AMP-F2 includes both 12V trigger input and output connections. This allows the amplifier to be automatically switched on and off in conjunction with compatible preamplifiers, DACs, streamers, or other system components.
Low Power Consumption
The high efficiency of the Class D architecture keeps power consumption relatively low. Standby consumption is rated at ≤0.5W, while idle consumption is ≤14W. Maximum power consumption is specified at 900W.
The amplifier generates approximately 65 BTU/hr of heat during operation.
