The Eversolo AMP-F8 is a high-performance Class AB stereo power amplifier designed to provide substantial power, low distortion, and precise loudspeaker control. With a custom 800W toroidal linear power supply, three pairs of precision-matched MOSFET power devices per channel, balanced XLR and RCA inputs, and a damping factor greater than 400, the AMP-F8 is designed to deliver both the current capability and control required by demanding high-end loudspeakers.
The AMP-F8 delivers 180W per channel into 8Ω and 280W per channel into 4Ω in stereo operation. When configured in bridged mode, it can deliver up to 500W into 8Ω, providing additional power for systems requiring greater output capability.
High-Power Class AB Amplification
The AMP-F8 uses a high-fidelity Class AB amplification architecture with three pairs of precision-matched, high-current MOSFET power devices in each channel. The parallel MOSFET configuration distributes current more evenly between the output devices, helping maintain linearity and reduce distortion under varying loads.
The amplifier's symmetrical dual-differential architecture is designed to improve signal purity while suppressing common-mode noise and external interference. A precision negative-feedback circuit further contributes to stable operation and consistent performance across the amplifier's operating range.
Total harmonic distortion is specified at just 0.003%, allowing the AMP-F8 to maintain a clean and transparent signal path while delivering substantial power.
800W Toroidal Linear Power Supply
At the heart of the AMP-F8 is a custom 800W high-power toroidal linear transformer. The power supply is designed to provide stable energy to the amplifier's left and right channels while minimizing interaction between channels.
The power supply section incorporates 24 custom audio-grade filter capacitors. Their combined storage capacity helps reduce power-supply ripple while providing the amplifier with the current reserves needed during demanding musical transients.
An integrated DC blocking circuit helps prevent DC offset present on the AC mains from reaching the toroidal transformer. By reducing the influence of DC on the transformer, the circuit helps minimize mechanical vibration and unwanted noise.
Strong Loudspeaker Control
The AMP-F8 features a damping factor greater than 400, giving the amplifier a high degree of control over connected loudspeakers. A high damping factor helps the amplifier maintain control over driver movement, particularly through the bass region and with speakers incorporating large or demanding low-frequency drivers.
The result is designed to provide tighter bass response, cleaner transient behavior, and greater control when driving complex loudspeaker loads.
High Signal-to-Noise Ratio
With a signal-to-noise ratio of 115dB, the AMP-F8 is designed to maintain a low noise floor. This allows low-level information, instrumental textures, spatial cues, and reverberation to remain audible without being masked by amplifier noise.
The combination of low distortion and high signal-to-noise ratio provides a clean foundation for high-resolution digital and analog source components.
Balanced and Unbalanced Inputs
The AMP-F8 provides both balanced XLR and single-ended RCA inputs, allowing it to be integrated with a wide variety of preamplifiers, DACs, streamers, and other source components.
The XLR input is particularly well suited to fully balanced systems, while the RCA input provides compatibility with conventional single-ended components.
The amplifier can be used as a conventional stereo power amplifier or configured in bridged mode when additional output power is required.
Dual Analog VU Meters
Two large analog VU meters on the front panel provide a real-time visual representation of amplifier output. The meters move with the dynamics of the music, adding a traditional analog element to the AMP-F8's otherwise modern design.
The front panel combines the VU meters with a clean aluminum chassis and minimalist control layout.
CNC-Machined Aluminum Chassis
The AMP-F8 uses a unibody aluminum chassis manufactured through precision CNC machining. The thick aluminum enclosure provides mechanical rigidity while helping suppress unwanted resonance and providing electromagnetic shielding for the internal circuitry.
The chassis features a sandblasted anodized finish and a substantial construction intended for long-term use. Natural convection cooling eliminates the need for a cooling fan, allowing the amplifier to operate quietly during extended listening sessions.
The internal layout is optimized for thermal management and stable operation under high output levels.
Power Output
In stereo mode, the AMP-F8 produces: 180W per channel into 8Ω, 280W per channel into 4Ω
In bridged mode: 500W into 8Ω
This combination of power, current capability, and high damping factor allows the AMP-F8 to accommodate a broad range of high-end loudspeakers, including larger floorstanding designs and speakers with demanding impedance characteristics.
