The TT-15S1 uses a non-servo AC motor mounted separately from the main chassis. The motor is effectively floated from the acrylic structure, helping prevent motor vibration from reaching the platter and tonearm. An endless silicone belt transfers rotation to the platter, providing smooth and consistent drive.
 
Both the chassis and platter are made from high-density acrylic. The substantial acrylic platter provides a stable platform for records, while the low-resonance chassis helps reduce the amount of mechanical energy that can make its way into the cartridge.
 
The TT-15S1 is supplied with a straight anodized-aluminum tonearm featuring an adjustable counterweight and magnetic anti-skating mechanism. A Clearaudio Virtuoso MM cartridge is included and factory-mounted, making the TT-15S1 a complete analog source rather than simply a turntable chassis requiring a separate cartridge purchase.
 
The three-point aluminum support feet provide a stable foundation, while the included Clever Clamp helps secure the record against the platter during playback. Manual speed selection provides 33 1/3 and 45 RPM operation.
