The 2Xperience series of turntables was a hit among critical listeners in search of audiophile implementations at a real-world price. We thusly reacquaint you with the design via our limited edition 2Xperience SB SE. Three TPE-damped aluminum spike-feet leave little to be desired in the way of isolation. They support a high-mass, top-quality MDF plinth that works wonders in terms of absorbing unwanted resonance. The belt-driven platter assembly is truly unique an goes miles for sound quality. Like the plinth, it’s also precision CNC-machined & balanced from MDF then adds a thick coating of recycled vinyl for optimal record coupling to the platter. To further enhance the coupling effect, a screw-down record clamp is included. Locked & coupled to the platter which is in turn driven by a motor that’s fed by an AC>DC generator (Speed Box technology), platter speed and stylus tracking are impeccable, delivering impressive clarity & nuance with captivating weight & ‘slam.’ Optimal cartridge/stylus performance is also perpetuated by the innovative 9cc tonearm using best-in-class ABEC 7 inverted bearings, a low-slung counterweight and Pro-Ject’s signature one-piece carbon armtube which staves off standing wave reflections within the tube while providing a light but rigid cartridge carrier.
 
We include Ortofon’s 2M Silver MM phono cartridge for an improved sense of speed in vinyl reproduction attributable to its silver-plated copper coils. A hinged dust cover is also included, as are Pro-Ject’s Connect it E semi-balanced, low-impedance RCA/ground phono interconnects with gold-plated connectors, mirroring the gold-plating of the turntable’s output jacks for the best possible signal transmission. 2Xperience SB SE is finished in a gorgeous, glossy, real-mahogany veneer. The highest-quality materials are implemented throughout the turntable. The parts are machined & assembled in-house by Pro-Ject in Europe, enabling 2Xperience SB SE to pack a punch you won’t find elsewhere for your dollar.
