The Marantz Horizon is a premium wireless speaker that combines Marantz amplification, a multi-driver acoustic system, HEOS streaming, and a distinctive 360-degree design. It is intended to function as a complete high-end music system on its own, while also providing the connectivity needed for a television, physical sources, network music libraries, and multi-room audio.
 
At the center of the Horizon is Marantz's Rise amplification platform, using GaN FET technology. The speaker is rated at 310 watts of FTC amplifier power, with peak amplifier power reaching 745 watts. The amplification is paired with Marantz Gravity drivers, including a 6.5-inch bass driver, three 2-inch wideband drivers, and two 1-inch high-frequency drivers. This driver arrangement is designed to provide broad, room-filling coverage from a single enclosure.
 
The Horizon's acoustic design is complemented by Marantz Radiance 360° Seamless Fabric, which surrounds the speaker while maintaining acoustic transparency. The enclosure can therefore be placed in a room without the appearance of a conventional front-firing speaker. Marantz AuraControl provides control over the speaker's illumination and visual presentation, while Marantz Mirage DSP manages the speaker's digital signal processing and driver integration.
 
The Horizon has a rated frequency response of 30Hz to 20kHz ±3dB, with output extending to 22Hz at -10dB. Maximum SPL is rated at 104dB at one meter, with peak SPL reaching 114.5dB.
 
HEOS provides access to major streaming services and allows the Horizon to be incorporated into a multi-room system with other HEOS-enabled products. It supports Spotify Connect, TIDAL, Qobuz, Amazon Music, Pandora, Deezer, SiriusXM, TuneIn and other services. AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth 5.4 provide additional wireless playback options.
 
The Horizon is also equipped for direct connections. HDMI eARC/ARC allows it to serve as a high-quality TV speaker, while optical digital and stereo RCA inputs accommodate additional sources. A USB-C port supports storage-device playback, and the speaker can access music stored on network-attached storage.
With Dolby Atmos decoding and support for multichannel PCM, the Horizon can also reproduce compatible spatial audio content. Its combination of HDMI connectivity, network streaming, high-resolution playback and substantial built-in amplification makes it considerably more versatile than a conventional wireless speaker.
 
An optional Marantz Horizon Tripod is available separately. The tripod is constructed from American walnut and cast iron and positions the speaker at an elevated listening height.
