The Paradigm Premier 620C v2 is the flagship center channel in the Premier v2 series, designed to provide the clarity, dynamic range, and controlled dispersion needed for demanding home theater systems. It uses a three-way architecture with a coaxial AL-MAG midrange, an AL-MAC ceramic dome tweeter, dual 7-inch Carbon-X bass drivers, and two matching Carbon-X passive radiators.
 
The 620C v2 is a sealed center-channel design, allowing it to be positioned in cabinetry or beneath a display without relying on a rear-firing bass port. Its 41-inch-wide cabinet provides plenty of driver area while keeping the acoustic output centered around the listening position.
 
AL-MAC Tweeter and Coaxial AL-MAG Midrange
The 1-inch AL-MAC ceramic dome tweeter combines aluminum, magnesium, and ceramic to control unwanted resonances and maintain a smooth, extended high-frequency response. It is ferro-fluid damped and cooled for improved thermal performance.
 
The tweeter is integrated with a coaxial 6-inch AL-MAG midrange driver, placing the two drivers on the same acoustic axis. The midrange uses a 2-inch high-temperature multilayer voice coil with an Apical former and Paradigm's patented Dual-Sync Continuous Flux Motor.
 
An Oblate Spheroid Waveguide (OSW) and Perforated Phase-Aligning (PPA) Lens are used to control dispersion and maintain consistent response across a wide listening area. This is particularly useful for a center channel, where listeners may be seated well to the left or right of the main listening position.
 
Carbon-X Bass Drivers and Passive Radiators
Two 7-inch Carbon-X unibody bass drivers handle the lower frequencies. Their single-piece cone construction is designed to provide high rigidity with low mass, while Paradigm's Gen3 Active Ridge Technology (ART) allows greater excursion than conventional driver surrounds.
 
Each woofer also uses Paradigm's Vertical Mounting System (VMS) and a 1-inch high-temperature multilayer voice coil with a ventilated Apical former.
Two additional 7-inch Carbon-X passive radiators work with the active woofers to extend bass response without requiring a conventional port. The 620C v2 reaches down to 33Hz using Paradigm's DIN measurement.
 
Designed for Home Theater
With 93dB room sensitivity and compatibility with 8-ohm amplification, the 620C v2 can produce high output with relatively modest amplifier power. Its three-way design separates the critical midrange and vocal frequencies from the bass section, while the coaxial midrange/tweeter arrangement keeps the center of the acoustic image aligned.
 
The sealed cabinet measures 41 inches wide and can be installed beneath a large display or integrated into a dedicated home theater system.
