High-Performance Music Streaming with Master Edition Refinements
The Eversolo DMP-A6 Master Gen 2 is a high-resolution music streamer, DAC, and digital preamplifier designed to bring serious digital playback into a compact component. It combines dual ESS ES9038Q2M DACs, a fully balanced analog output stage, extensive streaming support, HDMI ARC, local music storage, and a high-resolution 6-inch touchscreen. The Master Edition adds upgraded clocking, analog circuitry, and power supply performance over the standard DMP-A6 Gen 2.
 
At the heart of the DMP-A6 Master Gen 2 are two ES9038Q2M DAC chips, with separate DACs handling the left and right channels. An XMOS XU316 audio interface provides the processing required for high-resolution playback, including native DSD512 and PCM up to 768kHz/32-bit. The analog stage uses an OPA1612 operational amplifier array, selected for its extremely low noise and distortion.
 
Master Edition Clock and Power Supply
One of the major differences between the Master Gen 2 and the standard DMP-A6 Gen 2 is its clocking system. Eversolo uses two ultra-low-phase-noise femtosecond audio clocks, combined with optimized clock-management algorithms to reduce jitter and provide a more precise digital timing reference.
The power supply has also been upgraded to a low-noise linear design with noise specified below 40μV. Together with the improved clocking and OPA1612 analog stage, the Master Edition is designed to extract more performance from the underlying DAC architecture.
 
Streaming, Storage and Connectivity
The DMP-A6 Master Gen 2 supports virtually every major high-resolution streaming platform, including TIDAL, Qobuz, HIGHRESAUDIO, Amazon Music, Deezer, TuneIn, Radio Paradise and others. It is Roon Ready and supports Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect and DLNA.
 
For local music libraries, the DMP-A6 Master Gen 2 includes 32GB of internal eMMC storage and an M.2 NVMe SSD slot supporting drives up to 8TB. Two USB 3.0 ports provide additional connectivity for external storage and USB accessories. Network access is available through Gigabit Ethernet or dual-band 2.4/5GHz Wi-Fi.
 
The DMP-A6 Master Gen 2 can also serve as the digital hub for a broader system. Inputs include USB-B, optical, coaxial, Bluetooth and HDMI ARC, while digital outputs include USB, optical, coaxial and HDMI. HDMI ARC makes it possible to bring audio from a television directly into the DMP-A6, while HDMI output supports multichannel PCM and native DSD64 output for compatible systems.
 
Fully Balanced Analog Output
The analog section provides both balanced XLR and single-ended RCA preamp outputs, allowing the DMP-A6 Master Gen 2 to connect directly to a power amplifier or active loudspeakers. Eversolo specifies more than 128dB of dynamic range and S/N through the XLR outputs, with THD+N below 0.000087% (-121dB).
Control is handled through the 6-inch LCD touchscreen, Eversolo's mobile app, or a tablet. The CNC-machined aluminum chassis gives the unit a substantial, clean appearance, while the illuminated Master Edition volume control adds a distinctive visual element. Trigger output and Wake-on-LAN are also included for convenient system integration.
