The AudioSolutions Vantage L is the largest and most ambitious model in the Vantage 5th Anniversary range. It uses the same cabinet engineering and design philosophy as the smaller Vantage models, but expands the system with a 19cm Egyptian Papyrus midrange, dual 22cm paper-cone bass drivers and a 32cm down-firing paper woofer.
 
The Vantage L is designed for listeners who want the scale, dynamic range and low-frequency authority of a true flagship loudspeaker. Its five-driver configuration, 92dB sensitivity and 4-ohm impedance allow it to deliver very high output while maintaining the coherent presentation that comes from its wideband midrange design.
 
Five-Driver Design
The Vantage L combines a 2.5cm beryllium-dome tweeter, 19cm Egyptian Papyrus midrange, two 22cm paper-cone bass drivers and a 32cm down-firing paper woofer.
 
The large midrange handles a broad section of the music spectrum, while the two front-firing bass drivers provide additional output and the 32cm woofer extends the system into the deepest bass.
 
The down-firing woofer is integrated into the cabinet rather than exposed on the front baffle, allowing AudioSolutions to maintain a relatively narrow front profile for a speaker of this scale.
 
Beryllium Tweeter and Mini Horn
The 2.5cm beryllium-dome tweeter combines low moving mass with high rigidity. AudioSolutions uses its mini-horn loading to increase efficiency and reduce distortion in the critical region where the tweeter transitions into the midrange.
 
Siberian Birch Plywood Cabinet
The Vantage L uses SBP, or Siberian Birch Plywood, for its internal labyrinth structure, sidewalls and curved top. Siberian Birch is particularly dense and tightly constructed, providing a rigid foundation for the enclosure.
 
The cabinet incorporates an 18-layer sandwich of thin, directionally oriented wood sheets with HDF used in critical layers. Three types of adhesive with different cured hardness are used throughout the structure.
 
The curved surfaces retain controlled internal stress that helps damp cabinet resonances. AudioSolutions designed the enclosure using resonance modeling to produce a highly rigid structure with very low cabinet coloration.
 
Multi-Layer Construction
The cabinet combines multiple materials, wall thicknesses and adhesive characteristics to control mechanical energy. Rather than allowing vibration to build up at a small number of dominant resonances, the construction distributes and dissipates energy throughout the enclosure.
 
The result is a cabinet designed to remain mechanically quiet even when the large bass drivers are operating at high output levels.
 
Crossover and Connections
The Vantage L uses crossover points at 50Hz, 200Hz and 6kHz. High-grade Jantzen crossover components are used throughout the network.
 
WBT tri-wiring terminals provide separate connections to the crossover sections, allowing the speaker to be configured for bi-wiring or tri-wiring depending on the system.
 
5th Anniversary Finish
The Vantage L features AudioSolutions' distinctive 5th Anniversary finish. The main cabinet surface uses a durable mixture of crushed stone powder and polyurethane lacquer, creating a matte, stone-like appearance with subtle glittering particles.
 
The rear of the cabinet and portions of the side panels are finished in high-grade 3D hexa-textured vinyl. The vivid exterior outlines can be customized in different colors.
 
Available finishes include Wet Stone Grey with customizable vivid outlines, Anniversary White and Anniversary Black.
