The AudioSolutions Vantage M is the middle-sized floorstanding model in the Vantage 5th Anniversary series and is designed for everyday listening rooms measuring approximately 30–100 square meters, with larger rooms possible when acoustically treated. It uses the same construction philosophy as the larger Vantage models, but its proportions are carefully designed to keep the speaker visually compact in a room.
The Vantage M combines five drivers, including a dedicated down-firing 26cm aluminum woofer, two front-firing 18cm paper-cone bass drivers, a 17cm Egyptian Papyrus midrange and a 2.5cm beryllium tweeter.
Five-Driver Design
The Vantage M is built around a 17cm wideband Egyptian Papyrus midrange driver. It is supported by two 18cm SPC paper-cone bass drivers and a dedicated 26cm aluminum-cone woofer firing downward from the cabinet.
The down-firing woofer handles the lowest frequencies, while the two front-firing bass drivers provide additional output through the upper bass and lower midrange. This arrangement gives the Vantage M the scale and dynamic capability of a much larger loudspeaker without requiring an excessively wide front baffle.
The 2.5cm beryllium-dome tweeter handles the highest frequencies and uses AudioSolutions' mini-horn loading to improve efficiency and reduce distortion in the critical transition region.
Siberian Birch Plywood Cabinet
The Vantage M uses SBP (Siberian Birch Plywood) throughout key portions of its enclosure, including the internal labyrinth structure, sidewalls and curved top.
Siberian Birch is denser and more tightly constructed than conventional birch plywood. The cabinet uses an 18-layer sandwich of thin, directionally oriented wood sheets combined with HDF in critical areas. Three different types of glue, each with a different cured hardness, are used throughout the structure.
The curved plywood surfaces retain controlled internal stress that helps dissipate vibrational energy. AudioSolutions developed the cabinet using extensive resonance modeling to create a particularly rigid enclosure.
Multi-Layer Construction
The cabinet is designed as a structural system rather than a simple box. Multiple materials, varying thicknesses and different adhesive characteristics work together to control cabinet vibration.
This construction gives the Vantage M a rigid foundation while helping prevent stored energy from coloring the output of the drivers.
Crossover
The Vantage M uses a multi-way crossover with points at 50Hz, 200Hz and 8kHz. High-quality Jantzen crossover components are used throughout.
WBT bi-wiring terminals provide separate connections for the speaker's crossover sections.
Cabinet Finish
The Vantage M features AudioSolutions' distinctive 5th Anniversary finish. A mixture of crushed stone powder and polyurethane lacquer forms a durable matte surface with fine glittering particles, giving the cabinet the appearance of a piece of textured stone.
The rear of the enclosure and portions of the side panels use high-grade 3D hexa-textured vinyl. The vivid exterior outlines are color customizable.
Available finishes include Wet Stone Grey with customizable vivid outlines, Anniversary White and Anniversary Black.
