The Marantz AV 10 is a reference 15.4-channel AV preamplifier and processor designed for high-performance home theater systems. It combines advanced surround processing, fully balanced outputs, 8K HDMI connectivity, extensive room correction, and Marantz's proprietary HDAM circuitry in a dedicated preamp/processor chassis.
 
Designed for large Dolby Atmos, DTS:X Pro, Auro-3D, and other multichannel installations, the AV 10 provides the processing and connectivity needed for sophisticated home theater systems without incorporating power amplification. Its 17.4-channel RCA and XLR preamp outputs allow it to be paired with multiple external power amplifiers, including the Marantz AMP 10 and AMP 20.
 
15.4-Channel Processing
The AV 10 can process up to 15.4 channels and supports Dolby Atmos, Dolby Atmos Music, DTS:X Pro, IMAX Enhanced, Auro-3D, 360 Reality Audio, and MPEG-H.
 
Every processed channel has balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs, while four independently configurable subwoofer outputs provide flexible bass management for large theater systems.
 
8K HDMI and Advanced Video
Seven HDMI inputs support 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz signals, with three HDMI outputs including one eARC connection. The AV 10 supports HDMI 2.1 features including 40Gbps bandwidth, 8K upscaling, 4K/120Hz, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Quick Frame Transport, Auto Low Latency Mode, and HDMI pass-through in standby. HDR formats include Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10, HLG, and Dynamic HDR.
 
Audyssey and Dirac Live
The AV 10 includes Audyssey MultEQ XT32 for automatic room correction, along with Audyssey Dynamic EQ, Dynamic Volume, and Low Frequency Containment.
Dirac Live room correction is also supported as an upgrade, giving users the option to further optimize the system's frequency and time-domain response.
 
Marantz HDAM and Reference Construction
Marantz's proprietary HDAM circuitry is used in the AV 10's signal path, with current-feedback topology and a toroidal power transformer. A clock jitter reducer helps maintain accurate digital timing.
 
The AV 10 uses a copper-plated chassis, gold-plated RCA terminals, and Marantz's distinctive porthole OLED display and illuminated front panel. It is crafted in Shirakawa, Japan.
 
HEOS High-Resolution Streaming
Built-in HEOS provides access to network music services including TIDAL, Qobuz, Amazon Music HD, Spotify, Pandora, Deezer, SiriusXM, and TuneIn. The AV 10 supports high-resolution FLAC, WAV, and ALAC files up to 192kHz/24-bit, as well as DSD streaming at 2.8MHz and 5.6MHz.
 
AirPlay 2, Bluetooth, Roon Tested, and HEOS multi-room functionality are also included.
 
Custom Installation
The AV 10 provides extensive integration features including IP control, RS-232, web control, app control, OvrC, Control4, Josh.ai, two 12V trigger outputs, IR flasher input, and Marantz Remote Bus.
